How To Apply

How to apply

It is recommended that you contact the project supervisor before submitting an application.

Queen’s uses an on-line application system. Full details of this can be found on the Applying to Â鶹Íø pages.

Please alert your potential referees to the fact that you are applying as once your application is submitted an automatic system generates an email to them requesting a reference.

Submitting a Research Proposal

The research proposal should include a very short literature review introducing the topic, then an outline of the potential studies to be completed during the PhD and an indicative timetable. The total document should be 3 to 5 pages long. Further details here: How to Write a Research Proposal | Study | Â鶹Íø

Interviews

Applicants will be interviewed by School's Postgraduate Research Selection Panel which will include their potential supervisor(s). You will also be asked to give a short (7 minute) presentation on a research related topic.

Following the interview applicants are contacted by the University with the outcome of the process.
