Helena Normanton and Her Challenge to the Legal Profession

This one-day conference from BrexitLawNI and the Equality Coalition will examine the risks of hardened entitlement boundaries between different groups of citizens in post-Brexit Northern Ireland

In 2018 a QUB Law candidate, Dr Clare Patton, won one of six ESRC NINE postdoctoral fellowships.

The 21-year-old Law student spent a year studying business at Marymount University, Virginia and hopes to use the experience to pursue a career in commercial law.

All participants had made it through two preliminary selection stages, a research exercise and a skeleton argument, before they mooted a Criminal Law appellate case before Philip Aldworth QC and Cringe J.

This Award recognises the School's commitment to gender equality among all staff and students and work undertaken to address challenges in this area.
