supervises projects on the social and cultural history of the eighteenth century, gender, material culture, intellectual life and the history of home.
supervises projects on African American history, race relations and gender.
English Literature
supervises projects on eighteenth-century culture, especially literary groups, women's writing, textual conversations and fictions of female community; Irish fiction, 1680-1820; Byron's Don Juan; marxist and feminist literary theories.
supervises projects on eighteenth-century Orientalism, Romantic prose, the Lake Writers and textual editing, among other areas in which he has research experience.
