Broadcast lecturer Don Duncan has completed and released a second animation "Ivor"

Broadcast lecturer Don Duncan has released a second animation in his ongoing series of animated mini-documentaries which looks at aspects of the experience of the Irish language had by Protestant, Unionist and Loyalist learners and speakers of it.

This latest animation is called "Ivor" and . It's the story of unionist Ivor Reid's journey from fearing Irish as a boy during the Troubles to loving the language it as a man today. The animation has met with much praise and interest, garnering coverage in the , , ,  and .

This is the second in the on-going  project, which Don runs, along with East Belfast Irish language activist Linda Ervine. The project is supported by QUB, the Community Relations Council, Urban Villages and The Northern Ireland Executive and it forms part of  Don is doing into animation and socio-cultural representation in sensitive, post-conflict contexts. The next animation in the series is due out in May of this year.
