Congratulations to Prof. Stephen Smartt FRS on being honoured in this year's Â鶹Íø Birthday Honours list.
Stephen has been awarded the honour of Commander of the Order of the British Empire for his service to Science.
This is a fantastic accolade for Stephen, which recognises the value of the contribution that his work has given to Astrophysics and the School of Mathematics & Physics is immensely proud of hosting him among its staff members and delighted for this important token of recognition.
