Cassidy Allen is our 2026 Boston College Postgrad Exchange person and will be in Queen’s all of next week. Please come and meet her over lunch (provided by IIS) and hear about her research.
Cassidy Allen is a PhD candidate in English at Boston College. She primarily studies contemporary Irish women’s fiction, twentieth and twenty-first century Irish literature, feminist theory, and the media. She has presented on several topics at conferences on writers such as Frank Yerby, Grace Kelly, and Sally Rooney. She additionally has a forthcoming book chapter on Sally Rooney. She teaches on English literature courses at Boston College including an elective English course titled Contemporary Women Writers and the Media. At Boston College, Cassidy serves as co-Director of the Ph.D. Pedagogy Seminar. She is the President of the Graduate Arts and Sciences Association and serves on the Graduate Student Senate. Cassidy received both her M.A. in English and B.A in English from the University of Connecticut.
