An Academic Journey in Sustainable Development: Research, Policy, and Collaboration
In this presentation, Dr Adenuga will introduce his research specialisation through an economic and policy lens, highlighting how behavioural insights, governance, and evidence-based policy can support real-world environmental and social change.
The talk will also outline his current research portfolio and future directions, with a particular focus on opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, joint PhD supervision, and policy-relevant research aligned with local, national, and international sustainability challenges.
About our speaker:
Dr Adewale Adenuga holds a PhD from Queen’s University Belfast and a Postgraduate Certificate in the Engineering of Energy, Economics, and Environment. His career spans academia and applied policy research, including roles as a Lecturer at the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and as a Senior Economist at AFBI, Belfast, where he led and contributed to policy-facing research for government and industry.
Dr Adenuga joined QUB in 2025 as a Lecturer, taking on the role of Programme Director for MSc Leadership for Sustainable Development and MSc Leadership for Sustainable Rural Development.
